For guests
Scan the QR on the station with your camera. No app. Your card is authorised, which is a hold, not a charge. Take a charged power bank and plug in.
Your phone is how you get a taxi, message friends and share where you are. If it dies, getting home gets harder. A charged phone makes it easier.
No. Scan the QR on the station. The rental runs in your browser.
It is £2 per started hour. Your card is authorised for £30. That hold is released when you return the bank.
Pay on the page that opens after you scan. Card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The £30 figure is an authorisation, not a charge. We'll ask for your email so we can send your receipt and help if anything goes wrong.
You have 48 hours, plus a 30-minute grace period. If the bank is not returned, the maximum charge is £30.
Stop using it and email support@chargeround.com. A faulty bank means a full refund.
At any Charge Round station, not only the one you took it from. Slot it back in and your hold is released.
For venues
Nothing. There is no cost to you. You earn a share of the net rental income from your station, agreed with you up front. There's a short hosting agreement but no long-term contract, starting with an 8-week trial.
Monthly, by bank transfer, within 14 days of the end of each month. You get a statement showing the rentals from your station. Your share is of net rental income, after payment fees and refunds. Late and non-return fees aren't included.
We install it. We stock it and look after it. Guests contact us, not your staff. Your team never handles the power banks.
If you want Charge Round at an event, get in touch and we will tell you what is possible.
It's a compact 12-slot station, about 23 cm wide, 21 cm deep and 35 cm tall. It sits on a wall or a counter and only needs a standard power socket nearby.
Anywhere guests can see it and staff don't need to be involved, usually near the entrance, the cloakroom or a seating area. We'll suggest a spot when we visit and you have the final say.
Tell us and we'll sort it. Repairs, swaps and restocking are on us, and your team never has to fix anything. If a guest gets a faulty power bank, they get a full refund from us. You're not liable for damage caused by guests or for normal wear and tear. We carry the risk of loss or damage to the station and power banks.
Guests rent directly with us, so their details come to us, not you. Card payments are handled by our payment provider and we never see full card numbers. Your venue doesn't collect or store anything. We ask guests for their email so we can send receipts and help with any problem.
Yes. There's a short hosting agreement but no long-term contract. During the 8-week trial either of us can end it with 7 days' notice. After that it rolls monthly, and either side can end it with 30 days' notice. We collect the station at no cost.
