Terms of use
These terms cover renting a Charge Round power bank and hosting a station. Using a station or renting a power bank means you agree to them. Hosting terms are agreed with each venue in a short hosting agreement.

1. Who we are
Charge Round is a UK power bank rental service. Contact: support@chargeround.com or +44 20 3479 2354.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. UK consumer rights still apply and nothing here takes those away.
2. The service
Charge Round lets you borrow a charged power bank from a station, use it to charge your phone, and return it to any Charge Round station.
Stations are hosted in third-party venues. Opening hours and access are the venue's, not ours.
3. Renting a power bank
You rent by scanning the QR on the station. No app. Your card is authorised, which is a hold, not a charge. We ask for your email so we can send receipts and contact you about the rental. You then take a charged power bank.
You must be 18 or over, or have permission from a parent or guardian to pay. You are responsible for the power bank until it is returned to a Charge Round station.
4. Fees
The rental is £2 per started hour. Your card is authorised for £30. That hold is released when you return the bank.
You have 48 hours to return it, plus a 30-minute grace period. If the bank is not returned, the maximum charge is £30.
Pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. We may refuse a rental if payment fails.
5. Returns
Return the power bank to any Charge Round station, not only the one you took it from.
6. Damage, loss and faults
Treat the power bank reasonably. If it is lost, not returned in time, or returned damaged beyond normal use, we may charge up to £30.
If a bank or station is faulty, stop using it and contact us. A faulty bank means a full refund. Email support@chargeround.com.
7. Hosting a station
If you host a station, you give us reasonable access to install, stock, service and collect it. There is no cost to you. You earn a share of the net rental income from your station, agreed in a short hosting agreement. It starts with an 8-week trial, during which either side can end it with 7 days' notice. It then rolls monthly with 30 days' notice. Venues are not liable for damage caused by guests or for normal wear and tear. Guest support is ours, not your staff's. Your team never handles the power banks.
8. Acceptable use
Do not vandalise stations, take a bank without paying, jam a slot, or use a power bank for anything other than charging a personal device. We can suspend rentals or recover a bank if you misuse the service.
9. Liability
We provide the service with reasonable care. We are not responsible for venue decisions, phone faults, or loss of data on your device. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
10. This website
Content on Charge Round pages is for information. We may change content, prices and these terms. The version on this page on the date you rent or host is the one that applies.
11. Privacy
How we use personal data is set out in our Privacy policy. We also have a Cookies page.
